Rishi Bhatnagar is CEO of Syntelli Solutions Inc., a premium provider of advanced analytics services. He is a powerhouse of all things data, emanating new ideas for making data work! Syntelli stands for ‘Synchronizing Intelligence with Data’. Rishi is also the Founding Chair of the Analytics & Big Data Society (ABDS), which contributes to the community by Using Data for Social Good. The ABD Society forms a community where corporates, practitioners, and educational institutions come together to share ideas, experiences, and use-cases. Rishi serves on many different advisory boards, enjoys playing chess with his son, and hiking with family and friends.
MARISSA MILLER

Marissa Miller is the Vice President of Analytics at Red Ventures.
She built RV’s Data Analytics function which now drives some of the most strategic decisions at the company. She also leads a team of data engineers, data scientists, data analysts, and DBAs responsible for the Media & Technology group’s end to end data ecosystem. Prior to joining Red Ventures, Marissa worked in Deloitte’s Strategy & Operations group where she focused on customer strategy and analytics for several Fortune 500 retailers.
Marissa earned her MBA and MSPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS in Finance from Lehigh University.
John Thomas
Outgoing President
John Thomas serves as EVP of Data Science for Red Ventures. He has launched and overseen a machine-learning powered transformation of Red Ventures digital funnel. Prior to joining Red Ventures, John has started and led several Boston-area startups’ data science teams in a variety of industries including social media analytics, online advertising, and telecom analytics. John earned his BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Gettysburg College and MS and PhD in Computer Science at Dartmouth College. Outside of Red Ventures, he serves as the Vice President of the Analytics & Big Data Society in Charlotte and as a member of the advisory board of Wake Forests’ MS of Business Analytics program.
RICHARD SHEINIS

Mr. Sheinis is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP-US) and a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). He has also earned the designation of Fellow of Information Privacy from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. This designation is reserved for experts in the privacy industry and signifies that he has demonstrated a comprehensive knowledge of privacy law, privacy program management and essential data protection practices. As a member of the IAPP, Mr. Sheinis has served as the KnowledgeNet Co-Chair for the Charlotte region.
He works with companies to respond to security incidents and data breaches, develop enterprise data security programs, which includes HIPAA, COPPA, mobility, cloud technology, PCI DSS, cross border data transfer, privacy compliance, data inventory assessments, and data breach response plans. Mr. Sheinis' litigation background places him in a unique position to lead data breach investigations and limit potential exposure.
Doug Hague

Dr. Douglas Hague is the founding Executive Director of the School of Data Science at UNC Charlotte. He comes with deep industry experience in financial services, telecommunications, and aerospace and is currently a member of the State of North Carolina’s Innovation Council, a regulatory sandbox. Dr. Hague’s research interests are split between sports analytics and methods for managing the bias and fairness of data science models. Prior to joining the university, Dr. Hague was Chief Analytics Officer for Bank of America's Merchant Services. He also chaired for UNC Charlotte's industry advisory board for the Data Science Initiative. Dr. Hague earned a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Tulsa, a master’s degree in System Design and Management from MIT, and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Penn State University.
